“Sometimes, but when we spot one, we just send for the technicians who come along and tune them out.”

“The conventional scientific expectation when searching for extra terrestrial life, is that this might be revealed by searching for oxygen, nitrogen, or other specific spectral lines. Of course, this supposition is based possibly/probably erroneously on the assumption that there could be biological life elsewhere in the form which we conventionally understand it. So far unsuccessfully, the USA have spent millions of dollars (in the SETI programme) in this search. Lateral thinking shows that other ‘inhabited’ parts of the universe may contain entities bearing no resemblance to ourselves whatsoever.

Clearly, if they exist, they may not ‘breath’ as humans or have any of the usual attributes – hence, one could argue they could, perhaps naturally, withstand the enormous gravity forces involved in the manoeuvres described. The logic soon changes again when it is suggested that, in the limit, these entities have no mass! Several (UFO) researchers have concluded, for example, based on what they have taken to be reliable incident reports, that these entities must also have the ability to materialise and de-materialise. Further, the reported aerodynamic gymnastics implies that their technology of using, apparently, near drag-less, noiseless flight, can be achieved most of the time. All of these exceptional characteristics can be explained if the object are gaseous buoyant plasmas.”

[...] “Propulsion UAP noise is only usually reported as a ‘whine’, ‘hum’, or ‘crackle’ or ‘buzz’ at ‘take-off’. The method of propulsion of the objects does not, reportedly, produce the familiar noise which is made by air thrust, turbulence or motion by an aerofoil through air, as we know it – despite the fact that the 'craft' size reports imply the presence of a significant mass given the enormous dimensions often described. If however, as is believed, there are many reports which are of plasma/charged mass in characteristic, then they would be virtually inertia-less, and would therefore not push masses of air aside in order to move; while others are purely manifestations of visible light moving about.” [...] “Finally, as these entities can also reportedly appear and disappear at will and have intelligence, one could surmise that they could decide when and whether to be visible to humans or not. The classic reporting dilemma exists as to whether the witness are reporting what they are actually seeing or, alternatively reporting what they think they should be seeing.”

From the introduction we read:

“Flight safety within the National Aerospace System (NAS) of the United States of America remains of critical importance to everyone who is associated in any way with aviation. Other nations share similar concerns as well. [...] This report addresses one particular subject that, as far as can be determined from the open literature, has been overlooked by aviation officials at all levels, viz., generally small, energetic, propelled (i.e., not passive), spherical phenomena and/or objects that have been reported for decades within the NAS and elsewhere around the world.”

From the conclusion:

“Given that this report and others cited here have pointed out the existence of rare but real phenomena and perhaps even unidentified solid objects that fly in close proximity to all kinds of airplanes in many nations at all hours of the day and night and at all flight altitudes why haven’t any American aviation officials taken them seriously? There are several clearly defined actions that could be taken to better prepare in-flight and ground personnel for such encounters and thereby improve safety. These actions are briefly mentioned and also in the third section of this final chapter.”

Your observation is the same as scientists who have been investigating this phenomena for decades!

However, it has taken some scientists 25 years and a battery of equipment including radar, magnetometer, radio-spectrum analyzers, seismographs, cameras (some that can be equipped with dispersion gratings), geiger counters, infrared viewers, and lasers (Strand, 1985; 2000) and some really sophisticated radioastronomy equipment used in SETI research, before they dared to make the same claim.

I can recommend the Norwegian documentary, 'The Portal: The Hessdalen Light Phenomenon’ [2009], it was made by independent Norwegian filmmakers but it is mainly in English. This plasma phenomena has been known to exist for hundreds of years in certain locations around our planet, but we are seeing something extraordinary now.

• Page 47: “. . . insects were swarming around the light. I must have been watching for at least a minute when the light began decreasing in strength and . . . I saw inside it the shape of a bird.”
• Page 48: “ . . . They crept to within ten metres of the tree and flashed the beam of a powerful torch onto the light. The light extinguished and a ‘large brown bird’ flew up.”

I was sat in my playroom watching the TV at about 10-11 at night. Out the doors something in the distance caught my eye and looked like a glowing orb coming up from the trees in forest park. I immediately turned the TV off and opened the doors to get a better look. As it came nearer I heard no noise and it was flying very low, which ruled out possibilities of it being plane of helicopter. Eventually it flew over me still going fairly slow and

I saw the shape of a bird in a darker orange surrounded by a flame like shield, it didn’t flicker it just ruffled as it moved above me.

Once it went over the house I unfroze and ran inside shouting and panicking trying to tell my mum and dad that there was something weird in the sky. My dad, never the optimist, told me to calm down and ignore it, that it was just a helicopter so I grabbed my mums’ arm and yanked her out of her seat and dragged to the door. We stood out the front of the house watching the strange thing travel towards Swinley forest. My mum freaked out and tried to get dad to have a look but refused to take his eyes of the TV, then it disappears into the trees. It was definitely not a Chinese lantern;

Significant among those who came to accept that UFOs were critters was the man who touched off the whole powder keg — Kenneth Armold. As coiner of the phrase flying saucers he has won immortality, but by the early 1960s, he was nowwhere near as puzzled as he was on 24 June 1947, when he saw a "formation" of these saucers neart Mount Rainier. In November 1962 his views on UFOs sounded as though the had lifted bodily out of my 1958 book They live in the Sky. Writing in Ray Palmer's Flying Saucers Magazine, Mr. Arnold said:

After some 14 years of extensive research, it is my conclusion that the so-called unidentified flying objects that have been seen in our atmosphere are not space ships from another planet at all, but are groups and masses of living organisms that are as much a part of our atmosphere and space as the life we find in the oceans. The only difference in the space and atmospheric organisms is that they have the natural ability to change their densities at will.

"Be they Unidentified Aerial Objects or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, they don't look like machines at all. They look to a biologist horribly like unicellar lifeforms complete in some cases with nuclei, nucleoli, vacuoles and all the rest (emphasis added). Some are amoebic in form. What is more they appear as completely opaque, mildly diaphanous, completely tenuous, or what can only be called evanescent, merging into mere light hazes."

As the photographer at the time of the photographs were made, I knew nothing whatever of "nucelei, nucleoli, vacuoles and all the rest," but as Sanderson has pointed out, that is what is there on the photographs. Similar forms will be found depicted in major reference books on microbiology."
